With just the right touch of natural sweetness and no added sugar, this mango mocktail blend lets each flavor shine—you’ll taste a little bit of everything without any one ingredient overpowering the rest, which is the key to any good drink. Whether it’s an alcohol-free mocktail or a full cocktail, this blend works beautifully.

Ingredients

  • Mango juice – Rich, smooth, and naturally sweet, mango juice forms the tropical heart of the drink. It brings a vibrant golden color and a lush, fruity flavor that instantly evokes sunshine and island vibes. This is also sold as mango nectar. Mango puree is too thick.
  • Lime juice – Just a splash adds zesty brightness, balancing the mango’s sweetness with a tangy kick, fresh citrus notes, and a lively lift.
  • Coconut milk – A splash of canned coconut milk adds a touch of dairy-free creaminess. It softens the sharpness of the lime and adds velvety texture for a smooth, tropical feel.
  • Coconut cream is thicker and will make the drink creamier—similar to a Piña Colada or Mango Colada—while coconut water lacks enough coconut flavor.
  • Ginger ale – This finishes the drink with light effervescence and a hint of spice. Its bubbles and subtle ginger warmth bring everything together, creating a fizzy, refreshing mocktail with personality. Alternatively, ginger beer offers a stronger, spicier ginger kick and is less sweet.

What is a mocktail?

A mocktail offers all the flavor and flair of a cocktail—without the alcohol. You create it by mixing juices, sodas, herbs, and syrups to build a layered, festive drink. Mocktails let you enjoy the experience of a cocktail, whether you’re at a party, lounging by the pool or just craving something refreshing, while keeping it booze-free.

Make it a Mango Cocktail

Easily turn this tasty mocktail into an adult-friendly drink by adding a splash of vodka, gin, tequila, or rum—whatever suits your mood. It’s a simple upgrade that keeps the flavor fun and refreshing with a grown-up twist.

Serving options and variations

There are many ways to make mocktail recipes taste good. You can mix the drink in a large pitcher, then serve in short or large glasses filled with ice cubes/crushed ice, or mixed in a shaker and served martini-style.

  • Make it spicy – Add sliced jalapeños (like my Spicy Mango Margarita).
  • Peach – peach juice or peach nectar can be substituted for mango
  • Mint leaves – Use a muddler to muddle fresh mint leaves in the glass before serving for fresh, minty addition.
  • Pineapple juice – Add a splash for a tropical flavor explosion.

Fruit mocktail garnishes

I like to garnish my drinks with the same ingredients that go into them. For this one, I add a simple slice of fresh lime (or a twist), a slice of dried lime, and partially finish the rim with fresh lime zest.

Just like with my other mocktails—such as Earl Grey Lemonade, where I add lemon slices, and Ginger Mint Lemonade, where I use both mint leaves and lemon slices—I garnish my Pimm’s Cup with fresh fruit and cucumber slices. I also like to add fresh herbs for a beautiful presentation and a final aromatic touch
