My apartment is being renovated.
This is what I came home to today:
That’s my bathroom AND kitchen, FYI. The view is from my bedroom across the dining room.
This morning I joked about having to pee behind a curtain. Little did I know I would actually have to do that when I came home this evening. Not impressed.
I’m looking forward to having a shiny new kitchen and bathroom, but this experience is pretty crappy. There’s so much dust (even after the workers cleaned up) that I’m coughing and having trouble breathing. The good news is that I’m leaving for Cuba in a week. I think I might move that up and go stay with my parents this weekend, too.
I totally just brushed my teeth in the dirty, dirty bathtub. Our only water source. *sigh*
Pray for me! :S

Try to just picture the outcome instead of the mess now… it’ll be beautiful! Will you post pictures after too?
It’s gotta be a pain though. We only have 1 bathroom here too, so it’ll be a major pain when it’s redone!
Ahh yes, thank you for the reminder. I’ve been trying to stay positive through this and picture the new kitchen, etc.
I am very excited to have something nicer in place, but sometimes it gets very hard to picture it in your mind!
I guess I can post some photos once it’s done… it will certainly be a major transformation!
Haha, this just made me laugh. Sorry you had to brush your teeth in the bathtub. It will look so good when it’s done!!!
he he, i’m with Ali…there’s def. something oddly funny about the whole thing. soon i’ll all be over though 🙂
