SATC Event Review

OMG!! Twas A great movie, even for a non-fan like me!

We got to the theatre at 9:30am, signed in then grabbed our complimentary popcorn, drinks, coffee and pastries and headed in. As expected, the place was packed!

I will not reveal the details of the film, but bring some tissues for the dramatic moments, and prepare to be rocked by the awesome outfits!

Just about every scene had the ladies dressed in a different outfit. Some I thought were awful, but some were truly stunning. Anyone even remotely interested in SATC should definitely go see this flick. It was pretty long, but I felt that it had a proper beginning, middle and end, so all will leave satisfied 😉

The whole event was pretty low-key. I thought for sure they would have done something a little more special… but I guess since this movie screening was such a big deal to start with they didn’t have the budget to do anything else. Oh well, it was still good!

Well, I’m off to lunch at the newly-opened Spice Route restaurant (ooo fancy!) with a rep. Maybe I’ll do a review of it later?

  1. You know I never got into SATC but in the past few months I’ve caught an episode here and there and LOVED it – I so have to rent the previous episodes and catch up – glad you liked the movie!

  2. Sounds like so much fun!!

I heard Carrie made like 80+ outfit changes in the 2 hour movie… Was it really that many??

  3. Oh I didn’t count how many, but I’m sure it was a lot!

I really loved the wedding dress segment *drools*

But some of her outfits were crazy! Argyle kneehighs? ugh! Multi coloured garbage bag? ugh!

  4. I cannot WAIT to see the movie

I’m so happy you had a fab time.. but those dresses in that pic above are hideous.. I’m sorry! LOL

    I can’t wait for the fashion 😀

  5. lol, FB I agree with you! I don’t like the bridesmaid dresses at all… but when you see the movie, the wedding dress (Vivienne Westwood) may change your mind!

I like to walk by the Vera Wang bridal store in Yorkville sometimes and take a peek at all of the couture gowns… *sigh* so I really loved Carrie’s dress 🙂

I’m a big fan of the classic and refined haute couture fashions out there…

  6. Ginger: Okay 🙂 I’m gonna trust you. Crap. I don’t even have any plans with anyone to see the movie 🙁 I’m only here Mon – Wed nights…….fick.

Oh and I want that review of the Spice Route restaurant 😀

    It’s a shame we’re both in Toronto and we haven’t met… 😉
