This recipe is delicious! Just like an English pub. To prepare it, I utilized a Slow Cooker, beginning with the initial steps in a saucepan up to the point of adding the beef stock. At this stage, I transferred the mixture to the crock pot, adding the beef stock, spices, and meat. I did add a tad bit more beef stock. I cooked in the crock pot on low for 5-6 hours.  Midway through I thought it needed a little bit more flavor, so, I added half a beef bouillon cube. The recipe came out perfectly!
